Hi all

Will be traveling PER - SYD in october on QF582 B747 service

Any one know if they have ever used a 3 class or 4 class bird on this route?

As if they have i will make my seat selection in Row 1, instead of row 11 (upper deck) that i usually prefer if in J.
If theres a chance of being in F ill deal with row 1.

Any thoughts?

Yes they have. Chances are you will have OJD, but then again the likes of OJS and even OEJ have been over.

While it's always subject to change, you can check expertflyer.com for a good indication.

Don't hold you breath - majority of times its QF only 2 class bird.

You can monitor what is happening at theqantassource.com/index.html

There is no pattern - luck of the draw!

You sure would have been disappointed to have flown on the 06/08 service 763 rather than the 744!

The Saturday services were always 767's IIRC.

Funny how AJ come on stating that the 747 would re-appear on the 581/2 run, I am yet to see any evidence of it...

09JUL12 onwards.. ;) it has been loaded finally.

I'm on 581/2 in September and just received my email notification of flight changes. Looks like it's now a 2-class 747 from the seat maps

Generally it is run by OJD, which is the only 2-class jumbo left in the fleet

I actually prefer it to the A332s... the bigger the better

re: B747 Perth Sydney F & J

Slightly OT, But I would like to see QF sell all 4 classes West-East. Have it as a regular schedule and it would really put it up VA, Plus a good F lunch on the way to SYD/MEL (possible BNE) from PER would be worth the fare.

The domestic 330's have a more reliable IFE system;)

Things like this are really 6 one way half a dozen the other way!

re: B747 Perth Sydney F & J

So do the 747s still fly the SYD-PTH route?

The 747 that was being used as left the fleet, so there are no longer any 747 services normally scheduled between Perth and the East coast.

Sorry I got my airport abbreviations mixed up....
