Ignore this query. I wrote too soon and there's no option to delete. E-ticket has just come through from SQ.

I have booked an award flight on TK using KF miles, and have received the itinerary from SQ, and coughed up for the extra charges. But what happens now? The itinerary says: "If your itinerary includes flight(s) operated by other airline(s), please note that the other airline(s) do impose ticket issuance time limits as well. Kindly arrange for your ticket to be issued early."

Do I need to contact TK directly to get the ticket issued? If so, how? They have no ticket office in Australia as far as I can see.

In answer to your original question, the answer is 'no'. It is true other airlines may have ticket deadlines, but this is up to SQ to manage. I usually never allow more than 48 hours before chasing up with the issuing airline to get the tickets done. 72 hours becomes a danger zone as that's when partner airlines can start to cancel 'unpaid' reservations.

Bottom line... if SQ didn't issue your ticket on TK by the 48 hour mark you'd call SQ to hurry them up. Not TK.
