I have used my QF FF points and booked a business class flight for my husband and myself. Will this entitle us to access the QF Lounge in the departing airport? I have searched QF's website but can't find the answer!

Thanks

if it is a domestic flight you also have access to the business lounge if it exists. The business lounge, in general, has better food and the bar opens earlier (but can, however, be just as crowded as the Qantas Club)

Note only can you get into the Qantas Club Lounge, but as you are flying in Business Class you can access the more exclusive Business Class Lounge (i the terminal has one).

off topic: does the qp/biz lounge in melbourne domestic have showers? (red eye from perth through to sydney, would be nice to have a shower when i get to mel)

Yes.

Fly - The Qantas Club - Lounge Locations - Australian Domestic

Are you going to MEL before or after you get to SYD? If after, you can't technically access the QP on arrival unless you are a WP or their guest (or you are departing on a QF/JQ/OW flight on the same day). :)

before sydney :)

thanks alot! will make the day much easier if i have to go on the red eye considering i will have a full day of things to do in sydney. (the perils of using award seats and not being WP!!!)

cheers!
