Has anyone else notice that award availability is almost non existent from January onwards next year. Am plat so can usually see most things online, but was astounded to only find 2 days for a three month time period. Plenty of Y availability. SO doing shiftwork, I have been able to ready monitor the website over the past two weeks for the release of the seat 353 days ahead and I am certain they are not releasing anything. I haven't tried to ring and ask - maybe they are making plats ring to get the extra $$ in fee??

Recently booked two x F SYD-LHR-SYD for April 2015, both bookings were made pretty much the day they were released.

I found seats were plentiful ex MEL for both F/J. SYD was scarce with F only released Monday/Tuesday - J almost non existent.

IME the seats are released mid-morning and gone by the afternoon.

I like conspiracy theories ;) and I know it sucks to pay the fee if they are making you call however in the scheme of things, its not that big of an outlay if it means being able to book your premium cabin award to Europe. That said, at least you are a WP and have that ability. Feel sorry for the millions of non-status members out there, such as myself :D who have close to no chance of getting two premium seats.
