The cruising board has been a bit quiet of late, so I thought I would share news of the weekend arrival into Darwin of Australia's newest expedition ship, Coral Adventurer. The Australian-flagged 120-passenger expedition ship was built for Cairns-based Coral Expeditions by Fincantieri subsidiary Vard in Vietnam and has just completed her inaugural voyage down from Singapore. The ship kicks off her Kimberley cruising season in a couple of weeks, followed by a PNG season and then through South East Asia before returning to the Kimberley for 2020.
You can see some pics of the new ship on our website.
It's an exciting time for the local expedition cruising industry (really the last bastion of Australian commercial seafaring) with Aurora Expeditions' new vessel the Greg Mortimer also set to debut in coming months.
