I got excited when I saw the dates of travel, then read further and found that it's only for VA flights to/from Abu Dhabi and eligible Etihad flights - could have done with a a bonus like this on our upcoming PER-LAX return flights with VA which fall within that travel period, especially as it appears to apply to existing bookings!

I would guess that EY is paying for this promotion and that is why there is only one non EY flight eligible for the bonus points.

Pleb i think you're right. EY have a very similar promo running for Etihad Guest flyers based in Australia. However the T and C for the Guest promo specify that you have to book between now and end of Jan (i think) whereas the VFF T and Cs do not specify this (as noted above). Basically some free points for me on the return leg of my upcoming European trip (booked a few months ago). I think I'll also requalify platinum. Awesome.

My VA points finally credited for my return J flight to DUB over Easter. Forgot about this promotion until I saw the very large bonus amount. I was sceptical that an existing booking would earn the bonus points on offer but it did. My betrayal of QF just keeps getting better......

Don't think so. I registered my parents who had pre-booked EY J SYD-CDG return and it was a great bonus..

More of these promos would be nice..

I registered for the promo and then was fortunate enough to book some flights through Etihad. Now from this thread, I realise that my return flights are after May 31, so will only get my bonus heading over to Europe. Damn.
