With the recent Atmos promo, I purchased some points to redeem on a trip from Sydney to London on SriLankan Airlines.
The purchase of points went through without problem and they reflected on my account straight away.
The problem now is that whenever I try to make a booking, on the very last page I receive an error:

The payment for the fees and taxes charges to my credit card fine (hopefully it will be automatically refunded - that's a separate issue), but I am really worried that I won't be able to book these flights.
I have tried on the app, the desktop version of the website and even called the contact centre to make the booking and used live chat (via Whatsapp) to make the same booking and both agents got an error code too and advised me there is nothing they can do and to try again later.
Now I am really worried that I make a purchase of points (which is not a small amount for me), and I wont be able to book these flights after all - given the contact centre agents weren't able to book it has me quite worried that perhaps it was 'ghost' availability and I've spent a lot of money to purchase points for nothing.
Has anyone here experienced this before and found a resolution to the problem?
