For the past couple of weeks I've been meaning to start researching an upcoming trip BNE-DXB. When I've done a redemption search I get the message
It was no problem, as I really could put it off and check it later. Well now Mrs Albatross needs to confirm her holidays, I want to get it all sort and make sure we are sitting comfortably on the trip. Of course, we have some flexibility with out dates but we also need to commit a few of the other middle east flights which we need to pay.
Looking into the availability via the website I can see flights:
SYD - DXB
BNE - SIN
SIN - DXB
MEL - DXB
even PER - DXB
As soon as I select BNE as the origin, the website simply gives the We cannot process your request right now. Please try again later, or get in touch with your local Singapore Airlines office. It's not the same response as if there was not availability, it just doesn't recognise the BNE-DXB combination.
Yes, they can do the booking over the phone but rolling around the dates and flight options via the call centre is just impractical until I'm sure what is available. Too many what ifs.
Does anyone have a solution or experiencing similar SQ Redemption booking issues out of BNE?
