Are we bumped from a sold out flight or is it cancelled?

4 of us were booked on VA957 tomorrow (Sunday 14 Feb) 4pm Sydney to Brisbane. Now we're bumped to the 5pm flight which shows up as rather full. VA957 still displays on the booking system as 'sold out'.

This leads to two questions:
(1) were we bumped; or is the flight cancelled?
(2) if cancelled why? Can't see any other 'sold out' on feeder flights into Sydney, so what gives?

I've had two emails this week for upcoming flights saying there has been an unavoidable change of flight schedule. It's probably because they're under booked.

Yep I would assume both flights were under booked so they combined them.
