Wanted to go to New York for Xmas/New year for 4 weeks using reward points for the Syd to LA flight leaving early to mid december and coming back early to mid january. The latest i can fly out using economy reward seats available is 12th dec, coming back the first available reward seat available is the 22nd Jan so was just wondering do they have blackout periods for using points?

We talking about Reward Seats or Any Seat Award Seats?
May be hard pressed to find Reward Seats, particularly around that time, but I'm sure you can find ASA Seats - Will it be worth points? Doubt it....
