    Hi All

Wondering if there is an app that can hold all flights coming up.

I often use Checkmytrip but obviously with Flights across One World, VA, Delta and Star Alliance I thought maybe you can have it all in 1 place

    Any guidance is appreciated

    Thanks

I use Tripit, which is great for itineraries with flights/hotels/events/meetings all in the one place. Suspect the recommendation came from someone here.

Another vote for TripIt (Pro). Flights etc so easy to upload - just email your itinerary. Sends handy texts for changed flight times and gates usually before airport monitors show them. Not infallible, but very useful.

    Thanks to everyone

RooFlyer.. i have often wondered about security of information when emailing itinerary details. You obviously have no concerns with that ?

    +1 for tripit.
I tried the emailing my itinerary function for the first time the other day and it worked very nicely.
Even without using the automatic itinerary function, it's very easy to manually enter in or edit your flight and hotel data.

I also like that it has an iPhone app (and wouldn't surprise me if there was also Android) which will sync your trip data, therefore if you go somewhere and you don't have internet access you still have access to your itinerary

It doesn't really matter if you email the trip data or manually enter it, ultimately they have your trip information and what ever risks are associated with that. In terms of email security, email is very insecure as a method of sending data, but it was also insecure from the moment it left the airline through to when you received it, so no real extra security risk there.

I don't particularly like giving TripIt access to my emails, so I simply created a new Gmail account and linked it to that instead. I can then forward itineraries that I want captured to the new email address.

I don't like Tripcase. Had some massive fails with it for simple itineraries - i.e. point to point Qantas returns.
I use My Flights which handles amadeus and sabre PNRs. It has picked up BA, QF, SQ and VA flights for me so far. But VA stopped working sometime in the last 6 to 12 months. Alerted support, but I haven't made a recent booking to check if it's working again.

Tripit for me as well. Paid version but not pro here. Same arrangement as aussiel with a separate Gmail account for itineraries. Email thing also works with hotel and tour bookings. Never really had a problem with it ( 6years +) and works off-line on my phone

To be honest, I don't much use the "e-mail itinerary" option :), as my Travel Agent doesn't use a format that TripIt can reliably digest. But as harvyk says, its in their system one way or another and is through your e-mail system before it ever reaches TripIt.

Thing about TripIt is that it chronologically holds all the travel info that you care to give it, in one spot - hotel, tour as well as airline bookings and refs, seat numbers, room type booked, loyalty numbers, agent / supplier contact details, pre-paid amounts for hotels etc, date paid, all available without needing an internet connection.

So when checking in, I have TripIt open on the phone ready to cross check the details that the check-in person goes through and to pick them up when not as booked, with refs and dates...

Note that all this means that like me, you will be manually entering a lot of stuff. But I pick up so many check in errors, particularly at hotels, the time is a very good investment!

I've also had a few troubles with Tripit not reading some intins properly. I've found Google inbox to be quite good. The newer version creates a trips folder and stores the highlights at a glance, date and time of flights, flight numbers etc. and then the details from the email behind. It also works without wifi as the info is stored on the phone.

This thread is very timely for me. I've been a TripIt Pro user for the last two years but I've had some big issues in the past 24 hours, so much so that I've just downloaded WorldMate to give it a try.

I have a stack of AA flights coming up later this year and every one of them has been impacted by AA's schedule change madness. First I went to manually adjust the flight details. However, many of the new flight numbers are not recognised by TripIt. And some that are aren't all covered. For example, when the same flight number is used for multiple segments TripIt gives you a dropdown list to select what route you're flying. But on several of mine the route isn't listed at all.

I contacted support (who, very much to their credit, have always replied in under 24 hours) and was advised that all I need to do is forward the new itinerary email to TripIt. Apparently, as long as the booking reference is the same the flights will be updated. Wrong. Massive fail, in fact. I sent a nine sector AA itinerary email to TripIt. Not only did it create a duplicate for every single flight but it deleted my extensive notes associated with the booking. I keep meticulous notes and now they've disappeared.

I'm also looking at My Flights but according to the information they provide at the download point in the Apple Store, the app only monitors Amadeus, not Sabre, bookings.

My Flights stopped working for SABRE when VirtuallyThere was decomissioned sometime after the middle of last year.

I use Tripit Pro ... while it has some fails it is easy to use.

The AFF flight tracker can also easy import flights from Tripit.

I use Tripit, the free version. Manually enter all my details. Maybe I don't fly enough but so far, so good.

I'd be interested in how you think WorldMate compates to TripIt

Well I've struck my first hurdle.

Notes. In TripIt the notes functionality is for an entire reservation. With WorldMate it appears that notes are specific to individual flights. That's problematic for me.

For example, I make notes like:

    * Full cost charged to Bankwest MC
    * 12/2: automated email received from AA with three schedule changes
    * 30/11: Julia, 6.30pm EST (dialed Australian number but she was in the US). I added an SWU request for the outbound flights.

These sorts of notes relate to the entire booking and it's useful to have them in the one place. With WorldMate it seems as though I would need to add my notes to each individual flight segment. In the case of one itinerary, that's nine separate flights. Very laborious.
