APEC Business Travel Card privileges

Hi All,

I have only just joined - found the site by accident yesterday and figured I might be able to contribute my experience and even get some questions answered as well... :D

I have some questions about the APEC card. I have applied for mine (Jan07) and so far have clearances for Australia, China and Taiwan. I am hanging out for Korea before I request an interim card.

1. Since the USA started allowing APEC card holders to use the fight crew queue on entry to the US, does your APEC card have to list the USA on the back of the card to do this?

2. For Korea, it quite clearly states that APEC card holders can stay in Korea for up to 60 days without a short term business visa, but I could not even find the Chinese equivalent statement. Do I still need a (single or 12 month multiple visit) visa when travelling to China?

Thanks in advance

No. US will not be listed - you get the benefits just by having the card.

No additional visa required for China. From memory it is 60 day entry.

From my perspective if you are travelling anywhere overseas just get the Interim card, you can get another when Korea comes through - worth it just for immigration in Australia

Thanks Aubs,

as it turns out, my Korean clearance came through last Tuesday and I ordered my interim card that afternoon (from Korea)...

Thanks for the help! :D
