In the process of booking 4 nights there in January....the rates for the Junior Suite quite good considering the time of year it is.

Anyone stayed there? Reviews are patchy and not too much info if there is an Exec Lounge, benefits etc

My best mate did very early January this year. Very underwhelmed, apparently. I'll be speaking with him in the next day or so, will get more detail and report back.

Not much to offer, unfortunately.

It's apparently a very large property and is a bit of distance from Patong Beach. My friend paid between AUD250-270 per night and said that was way too much for what was offered.

Sorry I can't provide more information.

I have stayed here 2x in the last 2 years. As HHGold, you will have access to the nice Panorama lounge which has nice sunset views over the Andaman sea. Nice free coughtails betweem 530-630pm IIRC and decent spread of hot / cold food if you don't want to go out for dinner. Hotel is at Karon beach which is about 45-60 mins by cab from coughet airport. Taxis are fixed rate and was THB 700 from airport to hotel last year. Hotel to airport is THB 900, a bit of a scam if you ask me. There are a few nice restaurants on site but if you go out the back of the hotel (towards the sea) , and turn L) or) R), you will find very cheap restaurants, small grocery stores who do very cheap laundry, and massages. Karon Beach has a dangereours rip, but you can walk (20 mins) to the adjacent Kata beach or go by Tut-Tut. You are about 20 mins by Tut-Tut to Patong Beach which in my opinion is a good thing! There are 3 or 4 nice pools within the Hilton. The hotel can organise day tours to Phi Phi or James Bond island....you should do it at least one of them if you have never been before. Overall I liked the hotel but it is a large resort.

Many thanks for both your opinions.
I am really struggling to find a really nice villa with pool for those dates, so after trawling almost every website I could find, I just thought maybe I should book Hilton, as there's always rooms available and you sort of know what you're getting.
