Anyone else unable to activate new Bonvoy promo?

Has anyone else tried to activate the new Double Take promo for Bonvoy, mentioned at OMAAT and elsewhere? If so, has it not worked for you (either by going through the registration page, or looking in the Promotions tab when signed-into your account)? If it worked, is there a trick to it?

I still cant.get this message.
"Please correct the following and try again.

Unfortunately, we cannot register you for this promotion, but if you call our Guest Services number, we would be happy to answer any question you have. Call 800-450-4442 In the United States and Canada, or one of our worldwide numbers."

Basically I am giving up on Bonvoy.Got to LTP with SPG which meant something but on Bonvoy 2 elite levels now above me.No upgrades yet,bookings missing.it is a total shambles.

I still have two Bonfire accounts. One of them registered fine, the other denies even the existence of a promotion.

The promo doesn't show up on my account at all.

Can't run a website, can't run a call centre, can't run a hotel chain. Absolutely hopeless management!

So 9 days after trying to register and failing I got an email saying I was registered.
So went to my account and it says I am registered.but also says I have registered for a targeted promo to get 10 elite nights credited after 2 stays.Didn't even get an email about that.
Also today I got a phone call that I missed from a Brisbane Marriott number with a message-call me back I have some very good news for you.Probably just the Gold Coast timeshare or discount dining etc.not going to waste my time.

I got that call as well from the Gold Coast trying to offer a 75% discount on some new flash joint in Bali. When told NO they tried to offer something at a renovated property in Singapore

I haven't received a retrospective confirmation email and I still can't register (even though it actually appears as an offer on the app homepage for me).

Per the wiki on the promo thread at Flyertalk, this is happening globally and the only remedy is to reach out to Marriott:
