Anyone else frustrated with retro claims?? I've been waiting 10 months!!

I share your frustration. It's amazing that it takes so much work and effort in chasing up YOUR points.
The best advice I can give is to keep pestering them. My claim got to the stage where I rang them every day until it was finally resolved. Each day, I would get 'Oh, but you phone us yesterday about this, it says so in the notes field.' I told him/her that I didn't care and that I would keep phoning until it got resolved.
One day, the call centre guy ended up doing it manually and the points appeared the next day.
Keep pestering them. Pain in the bum I know, but they are YOUR points that YOU earned and YOU are entitled to them.

What I find infuriating is that even when you supply a copy of your e-ticket and boarding pass VA say they still need to check with their partner....huh???? Excuse my ignorance, but what more is needed as proof of travel?

You'd also think that DJ letting you fly on their aircraft on a ticket issued by another airline would be proof enough to get that flight credited! But yes Velocity, please do check with the other airline who will probably tell you to check your own system!

I've also had nothing but frustration trying to get points from a SQ flight BNE-SIN-BLR (and return) credited. Have been trying since March and written a number of times with nothing but an automatic reply for my efforts. Yet my BNE-LAX-PHX-SLC-SEA-LAX-BNE trip via Delta was credited in just a few days (though the leg from SEA-LAX was operated by Alaska, and they seem to have disappeared). Is this just a Singapore thing or for any retrospective claim? Partner points are such a big part of choosing your program, you'd think they'd sort this out pronto - particularly with so many people wanting to jump ship from other local programs. It's certainly making me hesitant to leave the bosom of QFF - for all its many faults, I've never had an issue with QFF claims like this - and they answer you back!

damn, I'm flying VAtlantic next month and hoping to credit the SC and points to my Velocity. Sounds like i might be in for a long wait~

I put in a retro claim for a flight on Skywest recently, and when it (finally) showed up in my account, it was credited as discount economy, i.e. 10 status credits, when it was a full economy fare and should have been 20. Grrr. Now I'm going to have to call them and sort it out, and no doubt will be on hold for half an hour again...

I get a feeling that all Velocity earns (beside VA which seems Auto) are manually "reviewed" before they are posted. Explains the wait time.

Yes - sounds very familar... Phone call centre - advises you to do it online - you go online and and it states to ring Velocity Centre for SkyWest claims..!

Second call - please send us your boarding passes (which has my Velocity number on it, the booking class and everything else one would need).

Email -thank you but can you send us the e-ticket as we need to verify you were a VFF member at the time travel!

I don't know why it is so difficult between SkyWest and Virgin - most XR flights need a phone call to Velocity, a week of the usual back and forward requests, and then the usual 1-2 month wait.....

Poor form.

I have a SIN-BNE flight (SQ) coming up shortly, it will be interesting to see how long this might take. Any wagers for <6 months?

I found with my SQ flights earlier this year they all posted within a few days.

One thing to do is have the SQ checkin staff check that that your FF number is in their system correctly. It's got something to do with your FF number being associated with DJ or VA. Anyway the agent removed my FF number that I entered at the time I made the online booking on the SQ website and then re-entered it by swiping my Velocity card.
