Anyone done a status run for a Cruise line?

I think we've decided on Princess for Alaska. Coral. Looked at Seabourn. It's fabulous and brilliant excursions but decided we need to see Glacier Bay and it will be a longer cruise. Might need a few more 2 dayers methinks before 2028.

Glacier Bay is spectacular.

Yeah, I wouldn’t rush to RCCL (too many kids) but Celebrity is pitching towards an adult orientated crowd but hasn’t gone as far as VV’s 18 yo+. The suites (or Retreat) on Celebrity ships is comparable to smaller ship standards (with a similar uplift).

As mentioned earlier, I temporarily had 250VS via the RCCL family SM as a CC “Elite” member but that was “enhanced” down to 100VS after SS changed the goalpost. But I’ll get back there in due course when I get to CC Elite+.

We won an upgrade to suite from Aqua on Millenium but not quite the same as 1. it's Millenium and 2. We hadn't purchased the drinks package so had to hang out in the retreat for drinks. Prices onboard for coughtails, even a plain G&T were mind blowing. Next July, booked a Suite guarantee, allocated a sky suite next day and not on magic carpet as I could see those had all been taken before doing the GTY. And it's on Ascent.

Think we go up to Elite after that one. But so many vacant cabins still as the prices are now over double what we paid.

There was a window in May June where once you chose points in cc you got 8 pts per day so 20 days 160 points put me on 410 so I went from 100 vs(5% off) to 250 vs (10% off) and it was grandfathered
The sales person on the Ray advised it
Everyone else did it even new accounts and moved 20 nts =160 which equated to 100 vs . On 1 July the system changed
I’ll post the whole story from CC here in a min a lot of reading but read the before July and after July.
2 of my friend did the transfer and SS stuffed up their SS status so they only have 15 VS we are trying to get them to fix it.
its quite obvious they stuffed up. as they obtained 160 CC on 25 June so should have been given 100 VS
