Hey guys,

I'm trying to get a copy of a tax invoice or itinerary for a past flight, made on 7 Feb this year. Booking was made post sabre.

I booked a flexi and then changed the flights to Biz. I've got the booking ref and tax invoice for the original flexi fares but didn't get an updated one for the J.

On the VA website i cannot retrieve the booking (too old I guess).

I was hoping to try and do this without calling Manilla. Anybody got any advice or experience with getting a copy of an old booking?

Cheers,

You still can retrieve your tax invoice with a previous pnr and last name.

Message. Thats using the PNR and surname. I don't have the email in deleted items unfortunately - I don't actually remember getting sent anything after adjusting the fare to a J one - hence I'm left with a Tax Invoice just for the cheap flexis. I might have to call them.......

Does your ISP/work/gmail/what ever store emails ?
I have set up my ISP mail server to keep emails for 180 days before deleting for this reason

If it was a pre sabre booking may explain why it wont show.I would try calling Virgin.

Booking was post-Sabre according to the OP. A question to the OP - I assume that you actually need a tax invoice for tax/invoicing reasons? So that makes a credit card statement not good enough? At least a credit card date and transaction number will be a start when you try to call the Manilla VA call centre. Other suggestions of retreiving deleted/archived emails are good - provided that VA actually sent it to you in the first place, this may or may not be systematically done by VA. I know its difficult to retreive any bookings and documentation from flights in the past (and often in the future!), especially when the airline in question has gone through a difficult transition from one booking system to another.

Edit - this morning for the first time since Jan 14 I have just been able to view and retreive my bookings on the Velocity website using the Six digit PNR/Airline reference and Surname. If this works - you will see a section in the Your Itinerary with payment details, you can select show more details and then maybe print that off? Only shows Fare plus Taxes and also subcategories of taxes paid such as the XT UO and WG and others (XT is apparently a garbage bag definition of taxes that VA can't be bothered telling anyone, UO is either an Airport Tax and/or Australian Goods & Services Tax and WG is Australian Safety & Security Surcharge). As an aside - chasing up all those fees and taxes two letter codes for QF and for VA is a bit of a mission (ITA Matrix web site seems to be the best source to decode all those mysterious two letter codes).
