The word on Twitter is that there's now a curtain. A curtain!

Of course, by "the word" I mean a single, uncorroborated account. But still. Has anyone spotted the mythical curtain? I'm flying on Thursday so will be sure to pay close attention to any newly enhanced cabin separation apparatus that may or may not be in service.

Er yes, actually there is a curtain on one of the E190s... I was in Row 3 on a MEL - CBR flight (I think) early last week and it was right in front of me.

There was no one in the 'J' cabin... I say J - it was the usual 2-2 but the seats had been reupholstered with the black leather. I think row 3 was the old PE red leather, and the rest of the cabin was blue.

The curtain was on a rail which extended down the wall so it didn't flap around. It came down to just below headrest level... I tucked it away in front of the seat in front and forgot about it. Seemed a bit dull - it was gray and didnt' seem to fit in with any of the branding (white, purple great etc.) That said the curtains in the 738s that separate the galley are that awful red that doesn't fit either... must be some sort of flame retardant material.

Anyway, it wasn't drawn across as there was no one upfront, so I didn't see it in action. Don't think I would have cared for it though, would have made row a little claustrophobic.

Had forgotten about it until now....

Black leather? I thought they were refitting with a 1-2 config?

Exactly what I thought when I walked on board. Seems like a bit of a wasted effort given that they'll be refitted.
With black, red and blue, she was a multicoloured bus that's for sure...

The black leather was mentioned in a post some time ago, whereas the refit was only mentioned recently. Perhaps they'd started some already but are not going to bother with the rest now if they're going to do a proper refit?

Curtain was there last week on the E190 from BNE to CBR. Was never drawn closed though. Should be used on a 1.45hour flight i think. Was in J and thought at the time that the little cabin would be great when closed.

No rope or curtain used or visible on any of my flights last 3 months.
