Any chance of upgrade QF94?

Hi all,
I have requested a points upgrade from PE to J on QF94 Sunday 13 June. I am traveling and have limited access, so can anyone see load and care to comment on my chances?

Also, I am on a AA codeshare from SFO so as a Qantas club member can I check in via the Admirals club check in and will they check me through to MEL?

Priority check in with AA @ SFO is limited to OWE,S,R and AA Gold/Exp FFers.
However, I have checked in there with a QP card as a NB QFF
Agent was happy to serve me and very friendly

Have just been notified that my upgrade was successful! My first trip in international business so really looking forward to it. I have been preallocated 24J, can I assume there no seats to avoid in Business?

Do you have status? You will get J lounge access in any case.

I am on the same flight but not in an upgradeable class.

What time does your flight arrive from SFO?

24J is an exit seat in a mini cabin down the back. Can you select from any other on line. Reports indicate rows 11-13 are somwhat preferred but you made need to be emaerald/WP to get one of these.

FWIW 12E & 13 J/K are not as yet showing allocated on E/F.

QF94 departs from Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) where there is a OW/QF Business and OW/QF First Lounge. With your upgrade and with your QC membership, you will have access to the business lounge.

BTW Flights that depart from T4 (QF26 and QF16) use the AA lounges in T4.

Yes you will but Serfty is WP I believe and therefore can open the gates to 'First' heaven

That oneworld lounge gets jam-packed sometimes so I would consider the kind offer

Scoring an upgrade on the A380 has to be a good way to start a flight, catching up with an AFF member OS even better

I just realised there has been no follow up post here.

FWIW, We caught up at T4 about an hour after planned due the the SFO' flight's late arrival.

Hwever, a pleasant while was spent in the T4 F/L before catching the bus to TBIT.

We arrived into TBIT after QF12 had commenced boarding and the lounge was only about ¼ full - rather pleasant compared to other times I have been there.

We had another ½ hour in that terminal's F/L before embarking on the mini-marathon to the boarding gate (101) and off home to MEL.
