Any benefits from DL when traveling?

I haven't been able to find anything on this subject, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

I'm a DL gold member and am wondering if I'd get any baggage allowance on Virgin Australia flights. I know it might just be a pipe dream, but knowing for sure would help me plan my PER-MEL trip.

from what i read you will get lounge access, but unless you have onward journey with DL, or some other partner airlines, you wont get baggage included.

if your AUS based, maybe you could try asking for a status match.

Certainly lounge access which is more than their own elites get on domestic travel with a membership.

You Booking/BP have the DL status equivalent inserted. WP is "Platinum Medallion / Elite Plus" being top level with SkyMiles.
