Antarctica Cruises

They say that you should spend, at most, 5-10% of your NETT yearly salary on vacations.

So even just one typical Ponant cruise is likely to be enough to push me over the limit. Unfortunately I don't have enough passive income at this stage in life.
They do have some tempting itineraries though.
I can work more, sure, and the taxman steals half straight away.

Options are narrowing down a bit:
1. Seabourn: Aboard Seabourn Venture or Seabourn Pursuit on November 18th or 21st for 21 days along this itinerary. Verandah Suite V1. Cost just shy of A$40K.
2. Travel HX (Hurtigruten): Aboard MS Fram on November 27th for 22 days along this itinerary. U2 outside cabin (window view, no balcony). Cost just shy of A$30K.

Ponant out as the no single supplement offers are all at the tail end of the season.

Seabourn and Travel HX offer essentially the same itinerary, and similar guest capacity. Seabourn obviously higher-end and includes a verandah/balcony. Feeling like a no brainer for the additional $10K...

So my Seabourn was 21 days but we had a bit of trip down the Chilean fjords from Santiago so you will get a lot more time in Antarctica.

I loved Seabourn and that's not a bad price because I paid around $27k in 2020 before the C thing happened.

I would definitely try and spend some time in BA at the beginning of the cruise and can recommend a good tour guide there.
