Another photo of U.S 'light' aircraft mid-air collision safe landing

I am sure that the initial details of the mid-air collision between a a Cirrus light aircraft and a Metroliner last week when all pilots survived despite major damage to their aircraft was posted 'somewhere' on AFF but I simply can't find it.

However I found this on-line photo (PPRUNE) of the Metroliner just before landing so fascinating I thought it was worthwhile posting. It certainly shows how tough some aircraft are built - and the advantage of running control cables through the 'floor' of an aircraft. (I am trusting that it is not a photoshopped photo of the plane on the ground embellished but it seems ok)

Metros are reputedly tough aircraft, thats quite incredible that that aircraft made it safely back to the ground. We used to fly Metro's quite a bit and people who had not flown on them before often quizzed the pilots what aircraft was and how reliable they are. Brick s%^thouse" was the term often overheard. Probably easier to paste this picture on the front bulkhead to answer those questions. Had there been passenders on that Metro instead of freight, there could have been fatalities for sure.

The parachute system in the other aircraft - the Cirrus SR22 must have saved dozens of lives so far.
