An electric day at Rotto

Looks like a fun day out. I've been contemplating an electric bike but worried about falling off

The commuter like PJM's would be the way to go. She loves it. The power/weight ratio from the same size battery and motor as mine is good as she was overtaking me going up hills - and loving every moment of doing so.

My wife had two fairly minor accidents in the first week or so she had her electric bike. Both were due to her not riding very much since she was a teenager. The first time she went for her backpedal brakes- which she obviously doesn't have - and the second time she misjudged a driveway lip. Nothing to do with the e-bike part of course. The new disc brakes on the bikes do actually make you feel a bit more confident about more controlled braking.

This is her bike. She loves it now and likes having the basket. She only uses the power on steep or long hills or into a strong headwind.

That looks a very nice set-up and it certainly folds up nicely.

This is my bike. It is an XL frame that runs on 29" wheels. I also had 'extensions' put in to raise the handlebar height. It had the electric motor and battery fitted by the bike shop.
