Has anyone used PayID to pay off your Amex? I just can't get my head around whether it has value. For $100,000 bill you get 25,000 points and that costs $550. Is that 50c per point?

payid is free.
are you using a payment processor?

I think Pay ID might be enabled on an account being used, rather than BEING the product or account being used.
Like how you can pay for a lot of things using Direct Debit, from most accounts with most banks under most products. Or, sorta-similarly, EFTPOS.

What account is Pay ID being used to pay from?

PayID is basically a virtual link to your bank account details (rather than needing an account number and BSB) as feature of the New Payments Platform. It's not a payment process per se.

You won't get points unless the underlying account offers points for transactions.
