Hi,

I just wanted to try and find out whether there was an air-side transfer from Qantas Domestic to Qantas International services at Melbourne (MEL) Airport?

We are in Domestic J (from Perth) and International F (travelling to SIN/LHR - if that makes a difference).

I've been unable to find information about transfers/connections on the Melbourne Airport website.

Any experiences of this transfer gratefully received!

Thanks

Can't do as you need to pass through emmigration/customs. Basically get off the plane, walk 5 min to the international terminal, head through to the departures area to the Flounge.

No need to do the airside transfer, transfering to Melb intl is a short walk (all one building IIRC, with the Intl in the centre of the building)

The best available transport is feet. Second best is luggage trolley, however somewhat more dangerous to:
  1. You
  2. The general public
  3. Other trolley surfers

Unlike Perth, you will not need to leave the building - an easy transit.

I would say that the walk from immigration to the F lounge is now longer than the walk from the domestic terminal!

You now get to wind your way through all of the new duty free shops whether you like it or not!
