Does anyone know of a good company for airport transfers? I'll be coming in to SIN from LHR in about a week and between two of us there will probably be about eight bags and I recently came to the conclusion that the standard Singapore taxi may not be big enough. I'm looking for something reasonably priced and large enough to carry everything, so the Rolls Royce transfer is out of the question.

You can organise a 7 seater for $50, just approach the ground transport desk!

They may even prebook:

Thanks guys. I saw those options on their website, so I will probably give it a go.

Or if that doesn't work out ..... one taxi each, with four bags in each taxi ;-)

I arrived at SIN last week and headed for the taxi queue. Had the choice of regular taxi or Chrysler 300C. The Chrysler was about 50% more expensive than regular taxi. You may have to wait for one to come alone. In my case there was one waiting and the person in the queue in front of me wanted a regular taxi so I was offered the Chrysler. So if you don't have anything pre-booked, that may be a good walk-up option.

these people were great for our family of 4 with lots of bags - reliable and courteous.. limousinecab dot com

Dont bother with a special car/bus. 1 taxi may do it depending on how big your bags are but a taxi to Orchard Road will only cost SG$20... so 2 taxi's is still more cost effective than a special transfer.

And sorry to disagree with NM but the Chrysler 300C taxi's are no bigger than a standard taxi but 50% more expensive. I have no idea why either. I travelled to the zoo recently in a Mercedes taxi that was just a luxurious. This is why people wave the 300C on when they see one in the taxi que.

My last transit stop in Singapore - I asked the hotel about a transfer. They came up with a package that included transfers - the car was large and luxurious and apparently belonged to the hotel. The package that I got was better than what we were paying initially just for the rooms.
