Interesting snippet from an email I got from Air NZ today:

We're always looking for ways to make your journey with us
even better. So if you like to be entertained from the
moment you hop on the plane till the moment you get off,
we're about to have that covered.

Between August and December 2008, we'll be rolling out
on-demand entertainment on the back of seats in our A320
and 767 planes flying to New Zealand and the Pacific
Islands. So you can enjoy your favourite movies, music
releases and TV shows just like you do at home. For all
the details, check out

This is excellent and i think it may get ANZ some customers from QF who are upset that many NZ routes are being jetstar'd.

Ive got some infomation that JQ will be flying to more NZ destinations (routes to be announced in the next few weeks) and also will be flying domesticaly in NZ.

Just saw some pictures of the new seat on the 767. It looks very similar to Jetstar's star class - even the same seat controls....

Obviously Air NZ has Avod and more leg room, but similar seats all the same.
