Tried out the newly installed EK Airbus 380 simulator in Dubai Mall, took off from HKG, flew low around the city and landed smack bang in middle of runway, instructor reckons I'm a born natural, but guess he says that to all who've tried it!, it was a great experience I must say. Cost was a mere AED350 (Dirham's) about AUD$100.

Much cheaper than the QF ones... is it a proper sim?

I don't think this is a "proper" simulator like the one QF and SQ are offering which they actually use to train Pilots as well.

I think this is similar to one that EK has in London...
