I note the rules for guest access to the lounge for an SGs is 1 guest only. Children count as a guest. I'm traveling with Mrs W-K and Miss W-K who is 5. Has anyone managed to get 2 guests into this lounge? Thanks.

Yes, we got one child in with us in 2010. Don't bother though - the lounge is a waste of time.

Thanks. We fly back to Auckland on a Sunday morning. Most airside vendors are closed as they are at church! A rubbish lounge is better than nothing!!

In 2010 it could literally only seat 5 people and served water and fruit juice. We couldn't get a seat so we sat in the (terrible) terminal.

Was there in July 2013 and didn't see a lounge. As WP I didn't get an invitation either when checking-in at the Air Vanuatu business class counter. There is a bar/restaurant that some pax used.

Its more fun going to the smoking/outside area once you are at the gate - we got good views of arriving and departing 737s

It must be Harry Bauer's Airport Club Lounge that the OP refers to.

At least it has air conditioning!

The link says access is for "business class and status passengers" and "a hand written invitation is given out at check-in". The reviewer actually liked the lounge!

Maybe QFFers with status get access but that was not mentioned to me (WP) at Air Vanuatu's business class check-in last year (July 2013).
Edit: One AFF who flys regularly on Air Vanuatu said in May 2013 "In regards to lounge access, never any problems as a WP on QF ticketing accessing the QF F lounge in SYD or QF J lounge in BNE. In VLI on the other hand you will be enjoying the Y lounge with everyone else": http://www.australianfrequentflyer....program/vanuatu-qf375-50632-2.html#post828462
Maybe it's changed?

And from late last year, the lounge even joined Priority Pass: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....nges/priority-pass-changes-oct-nov-55478.html

Seriously, don't bother.

Or, do for the lols :)

In several trips Ive never seen anyone 'police' lounge access, nor staff to restock the .... errr, nothing (peanuts or taro crisps maybe).

I'm transiting through there this afternoon, I promise I'll leave at least 1 packet of chips behind.

But as others have said, it's really not worth it.....

At least there is free internet here at NOU airport. VLI on the other hand.....

You cannot get a grander entrance than that!

Before you jump to any conclusions that not a lounge dragon, but rather a snoozy stall holder.

I've left half a pack of out of date macadamia nuts and a bottle of tap water.

What were the entry requirements? Is QFF status enough?

Not sure about QFF requirements but I'm hoping to get in there using my Air NZ SG status. I'll find out on the 20th if it works.

There is nobody on the door and nobody checked at any stage who was in there. So for access eligibility then I'd say it's "good"

Looks like a lounge I visited in South America, except this one has windows.

Matt

I was in the lounge last Sunday. The lounge assistant requested the invite on entry. Small selection of drinks and meager food offering - see below. Lounge had free wifi and AC both of which we're not available in the terminal.

Was that yours or the supply for the whole lounge?

(Only half joking.......)
