Darwin has been chosen for the 11th AFF Annual Gathering, as has the weekend of the 7 - 9 July 2017. The average temperature range for July is 19.3ºC to 30.6ºC, with a relative humidity of 37%. The average rainfall is 1.1mm. It is the smallest and most Northerly of Australia's capital cities.

As an early date has been chosen for Darwin next year to avoid the wet season, there is less than the standard time to prepare a schedule, however it is hoped some locals or frequent visitors to Darwin will raise their hand to secure a successful event.

We hope to see you there!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Oh well.....bronze as I will be in Boston :(

We have a very crazy few months so we won't be able to attend.

flights booked!!

You're fast.

I want to do a crazy route, along the lines of connecting the dots of my travel map that haven't been connected yet:

PER-BME-KNX-DRW & DRW-GOV-CNS

However the former is close to $1k and the latter is proving difficult to find availability on, despite the flight existing (QF2694), however as 2 separate flights I can book it for a low $700 :p so I may just fly direct, the horror!

Not really sure how I feel about those prices. Another Asian jaunt looks likely for me after AFF11 if I end up attending. :-|

The Wet Season is the BEST time of year to visit The Top End :)

Jim Jim falls is pretty amazing but is a bit of a treck out of town.

Its peak season !!! ..too say i was a little disappointed with the date is an understatement . its going to be quite exe for those that go.

I have booked accommodation. Prices are a little scary, so I went for a flexible booking in case they come down.

I've cemented myself in a chain that doesn't exist in DRW... IHG. So I will likely book flex too or simply book cheapest I can find and do some walking to primary venues. After all, I only need a bed, not a suite for parties!

Naturally I will be copper.

As a frequent visitor we hope you can guide the organisers and perhaps we'll see you there.

I may not be able to attend but I'm happy to help with planning. I'll even do a couple of reckies for the cause. Most likely before the end of March...

Not sure what colour I am at this stage, but given that I've been out of work since August, moved country, and got married as well, and the most basic motel rooms are $200+, it's not going to easy to make this one fly. :(

I'll go Gold at this stage. Booked something flexible for accommodation and hopefully lock in flights closer to the time once I've figured out a work schedule for 2017.
