Advice on hotels in Singapore.

The last time I saw, it was extremely crowded, with tourists looking at packs of sardines trying to move around a pool.
We were there 2 weeks ago and went to the pool twice, once at 8PM and the other at 11AM. Not peak times and it wasn't a weekend but the pool was surprisingly empty. We got some great photos with no-one in the back ground. A little tip - once you check-out, you are welcome to use the pool for the remainer of the day. Very handy when you have an 8PM flight.

Have a look at the family and friends rate for the intercontinental hotels, the HI Atrium can be had for SGD$158, or of you hurry Accor have a private sale that gets the Novotel Clark Quay for $150

Need to book by 29 Oct !

Markis10, Can not thank you enough for the above link, I have been dithering over booking Singapore accomodation for our first visit there in April next year, we are having a 3 day stop over on the way back from a 3 week trip in Vietnam and Novotel was on my maybe list, so I had a look at the link, and scored an executive suite for 3 nights with club benefits for a very good price. So finally my weeks of dithering and checking booking sights and overthinking is over, decision made! Thanks again.:D

The Perak Hotel/Lodge is not that far from Bugis or Little India MRT. A very clean 3*+ in the middle of your price range.

If room size is not an issue the discount hotel chain also have hotels in the same area for less than $100. Rooms are clean but small. The rates tend to be $20-30 more than Geylang and the eastern area referred to as potentially "un-desirable". Most will show with your favorite hotel booking site but not the airline sites.

Happy wandering

Fred
