Advice on champagne

FC 30% ShopBack finally tracked this morning (less GST).

Got text saying my LPR order is out of stock (in QLD).
FC offered VC Ponsardin 2012 as replacement, seems fair.
Yeah mine tracked this morning for $24.55 though I used a 10% birthday discount First Choice sent me. Figures the one time I was planning on using free delivery it wasn't available, pickup only.

It looks like the Cheddar app has 20% off cashback uncapped through first choice.
They have sitewide 10% off as well.

Technically they stack, unsure if approve or First Choice will approve it but it would make Champagne pretty reasonable with discount.

Dom would be around $250

Those with the Amex First Choice offer - spend $100 get $10 back - can stack that with CR 15% off (no cap listed).

Veuve Clicquot vintage 2012 is available for $75 after discounts.

Edit: whoops, left the GST in - final price should be $76.36.

It's a good drop, tried it recently, only issue IIRC was finding a fizz saver that fits, I couldn't. I've tried a lot of rose's recently and this would be my favourite, Billecart has been sitting around for a year but I haven't made my way to it yet so unfortunately can't compare :(

With that said the Laurent Perrier is highly regarded as the general go-to premium rose before you go stupid prices.

Amex offer ended yesterday. I liked it better when companies didn't pay attention to sequencing their offers...
I already used my Amex offer and couldn't find the expiry date - $68.18 is just CR cashback, no Amex.

Who pays for the upsized cashback - is it FC that covers the whole cost?

How does Laurent Perrier rose compare to the Billecart?
It's $100 atm at first choice, stack with cashback makes it $80.
Didn't mind the LP, but wasn't particularly memorable - more on the sweeter side from memory?

I don't mind the LP vintage/millesime, but the rose isn't something we would ordinarily buy - we would typically go with the Billecart or Gosset. I heard Billecart was the highest selling rose champers by volume in Aus.

With that said at $80 worth a go I would think?

Just to close the loop. Cracked the first one last night and very impressed. Excellent value the price point.

Nicks has a one day special (10% off for all ployez) with coupon code Champagne

Brings it to $58.49.

Thanks for the post tgh. Obviously a hit in your household. And with Amex offer and CR it makes the price super appealing. Would you classify it in the same group as most NV or is it a small step up from them ? Any flavour comparison to others??
