I was due to make QF Gold at the end of the month with a work trip which was perfect timing for an upcoming 9 week overseas trip. To my horror, this trip has just been cancelled. Alas, many of the flights on the OS trip are classic awards and will not net me any SC prior to my anniversary date and I will be 35 SC short of making Gold.

What is the quickest and cheapest way to earn 35 SC from CBR? I am thinking a one way JASA to SYD and then jumping on the bus from SYD back to CBR for $15. Any better ideas?

Thanks in advance

Would be cheaper and quicker to do two flexi savers, avoids the bus.

How much is the JASA flight? Discount Econ only gets you 10 SC points so you would have to fly return twice ( 4 x $89 = $356).

Flexi Savers credit as full economy at $229 each way versus a limited availability J at $469

Canberra - Adelaide RTN will cost you $380 and nett 45 SCs

25 (via SYD) or 20 (via MEL) one way in discount economy. Direct is 15.

Gotta say return super savers to SYD is going to be the quickest option.

So to get to 45 we go in discount Y CBR Syd ADL Mel CBR.

I initially thought the post referred to a direct flight.

So if we chose direct to get to 45 we could go flexible one way and discount return CBR ADL ? Does that work?
