advice for award booking

Hi all, just some basic advice needed here.
As a soon to be new PS, can I request two award seats (J intl ). One being for MrsB who is still an NB.
Do any PS benefits extend to the second ticket (earlier seat allocation, ....?).
Or would there be more benefit in her making PS as well?
I also understand that PS is considered to be devalued (for intl or just dom?).

I believe you need to be at least Gold and most likely Platinum and above to be able to ask for economy class seats to be released and have that request granted by yield management.

It is not as common to have business class seats released using the above method.

I'm with JohnK here, as a PS, if the seats aren't available via the website, you won't get them.

A WP would have a chance of requesting a seat be availed, but even an SG would have problems with this.

If you book them together at the same time, you will see your PS seat allocation, although, to be honest, I'd doubt it would vary much from NB allocation. Hate to be the bearer of bad news. Even WPs have issues getting award seats at times.
