Adria Airways "temporarily" ceases flights

Adria Airways, the national airline of Slovenia, has temporarily suspended all operations yesterday and today, except for its LJU-FRA route which will still run. Apparently the airline is short of cash.

Things are not looking too good for yet another European airline...

The smaller guys in smaller countries are the ones who get squeezed first when there is a slow down. I would imagine it's very hard to come back when you start becoming unreliable.

I'd imagine it's near impossible to recover from without a big cash injection.
Forward bookings (ie. Cash inflow) dries up
Creditors demand repayment and upfront - eg. Your fuel supplier wants payment for the last 30 days and everything in advance.
