QF is offering a 50% bonus on points transfers if you apply automatic transfer of Le Club Accor points to QF. I joined immediately and discovered the threshold for transfer is now only 2000 points. My few points are on their way to QF.

The wording is a little dodgy, but I wouldn't expect the bonus to apply to any manual transfer.

And a follow-up just now:

In celebration of our Qantas Frequent Flyer partnership, we're offering you a complimentary one year membership to Qantas epiQure valued at $99!^
Ends 30 Sept 2015. Enter code ACCORJOIN.

For some clarity - this offer is for AUTO transfers. There is no threshold in the points requirement. Well, actually there is, but it is 1 point, if doing an AUTO transfer (or what Le Club likes to call a systematic transfer). If you are in a section regarding a 2,000 point minumum, then you are doing a MANUAL transfer. These may not count for the promotion.

Qantas may have to think hard about how it treats its frequent flyers but when I read "all Le Club AccorHotels points that convert to Qantas Points before 30 November 2015, you'll earn a bonus of 50% more Qantas Points"! I tend assume it would take a very good legal team to find exclusions to all. As usual we will have to wait and see.

Maybe the legal difference is not in the word "all" but rather "... that convert to..." As opposed to "... that are converted to ..." ??

But you left off the first half of the sentence. You need to set up auto transfer as part of the condition of getting the bonus. Do that, and that is how the points will transfer.

Thinking of the process: if you set up the auto transfer and existing points don't come across, then you are left with an odd number of points that can't be used unless you cancel the auto-transfer.

For example, I have about 1,200 points currently in Accor. If I set up the auto transfer and the existing points do not transfer, then I have these 1,200 points just sitting there until I cancel the auto.

Whether I will get the 50% bonus if they do transfer remains to be seen; but if I do set up an auto-transfer then I would want all my points to move so I don't have odd bits here and there.

Traditionally, unless it's changed, any number of points (even below the minimum transfer) is swept to the airline scheme at the end of the month. So assuming this is still the case (and it was around a year ago), all of your points would transfer.

I reckon this promotion is in response to the introduction of VA transfers ... I have been valuing a Velocity point at double that of a QF point ...

However remember 2000 Le Club points is worth EUR40 off a hotel stay.

Hope it hasn't changed; my points expire in Oct and I have no stays coming up. The sweep would save them (not that I have that many).

Jacques, my understanding of the program was that your points do not expire, only your status on an annual basis.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Is this good value? Baring in mind that one Le Club point converts to 0.5 points for most other airline FFPs. I have 33000 points with Le Club at present.

Thanks for this tip. I saw the email and thought it was just free epicure membership only. I have applied on the link given above for automatic transfer of my Accor points, I have lost enough of them over the years so this will work well.

Looks too confusing.

Good point. I have 20,000+ Accor points accumulated in very short space of time. So that is EUR400 worth of discounts off hotel stays.

I am not sure I can get that sort of value with 20,000 Velocity points or 30,000 QFF points.
