Royal Randwick is on the light rail line from the city, which runs every 10 mins.

There’s some options in Coogee but you’ll need a car or bus.

Otherwise close walk to the Surry Hills light rail stop would be something like the Adina Crown St Surry Hills - an older property but still quite popular and with a number of good restaurants and pubs within 500m.

Alternative for serviced apartments would be the Veriu in Belmore Road Randwick, the Spot is about 10min walk and has small bars and Restaurants and 5min walk to the Light Rail.

I like what Meriton offers and they have 3 options out that way- Bondi, Waterloo or Zetland

I’m having a feeling of dĆ©jĆ  vu. Didn’t you or maybe someone else ask the same/similar question not that long ago?

Anyway, whilst the light rail stops at the racecourse it’s a bit of a schlep from the city (probably quicker by taxi to/from city). Coogee is not too far. Thereā€˜s an Adina as well as a CP (on the beach) - plenty of bars and restaurants also.

Thereā€˜s a new HI & Suites in Bondi Junction. As the crow flies, slightly closer than Coogee. About 5-10mins by car. Unfortunately and somewhat weirdly, there’s not a huge array of restaurants in the Junction but easy access to PT back to City, Paddington or down to Bondi Beach.

SYD yes it was me - but I could not find the original post so I asked again
