Hoping for some assistance. In October I will be traveling with my son and grandson to the USA. After going to Disney World we will be traveling to Washington then New York. We want to simply book one room with two beds, my grandson is 12, he is not my son's child but he will sleep with either of us. My previous trips to the USA has seen us in numerous locations when only my wife and I visited placed in rooms with 2 queen sized beds, now that I want two beds when booking in, the price per room doubles. Any tips how to get around this. TIA

Beacon hotel for NY get the 1 bedroom suite with 2 beds. Website clearly shows room types. Try something like Homewood suites in DC but this won't be central

Embassy Suites always worked for us with 4 in the two room suite.
