Accessing VA Sydney lounge on arrival.

I will be arriving at 6.30am this month. I would like to use the lounge for 2 -3 hours before I leave the airport to board a cruise ship. We are a family of 4 & I have gold status.
Do I have to collect luggage (3 cases), then take it through security & into the lounge or is there another way to do it?

You would have to collect luggage, I can't remember if there is a luggage storage business in SYD. You may not get access on arrival especially as there is reduced space available and mornings are a very very busy time. I know MEL is restricting access and has even been declining members guests due to overcrowding issues at some times.

From memory, there's luggage storage near the Virgin baggage carousels.
