My first post so if its a simple question that I should know the answer to - I apologise in advance.

I'm soon to fly BNE - PNH using SQ and MI. I booked through SQ as it was a few hundred dollars cheaper than through VA. I am a member of KF, but really with no status. My question is: Am I able to use my VA Plat card to gain access to the SQ lounge in BNE and Sing, even though its a SQ flight and not a VA code share? If not, could I adjust my FF reference on the booking to VA and gain access that way?

Yes, you'll have access - make sure you have your VFF card with you even if you get it added to the booking.

Note, you will only have access to actual SQ lounges (which the one in BNE is), and in Singapore only the Krisflyer Gold lounges (not as good as the Silverkris, and importantly lack showers and toilets), not partner/contract lounges - I don't know what SQ uses in PNH.

Neither BNE or SIN lounges are worth getting excited about, but they are better than nothing i guess! Although the BNE lounge is just about as good as the QF BNE lounge I guess (lacks a view, but I think the food is actually slightly better)...
