Hi,

My girlfriend is travelling to the USA in July and has a four hour stopover in DFW on the way home. I’m thinking about getting one of the Qantas Club complementary invitations available on ebay for her to use there. Just checking if these passes are accepted at international airports, as the lounge in Dallas is shared with BA.The product descriptions on eBay don’t contain much information. Some say they are accepted for international flights but nothing about international airports. Obviously I don’t want to direct the question to Qantas as I’m sure they aren’t too keen on the practice of their passes being sold online.

Thanks

The passes only grant access to Qantas operated lounges in most cases, DFW is an associated lounge and unless specifically mentioned on the pass, admission will not be possible.

If your g/f has an Amex Platinum or Centurion card she can access the Centurion Lounge free of charge or other Amex cards attract an entry fee of USD50.00. They do table service for alcoholic beverages & they have complimentary hot buffet which is a much better offering of food compared to other airline lounges in the US. Opening hours are 0530-2200 & the location of the lounge is very handy to the QF8 departure (as a 744) not sure what gates they're using when the a/c type changes to the 388.

There's also The Club at DFW which has a day pass for USD35.00 which you purchase from reception however their hours at 0730-1930 so it would close 2 hours prior to the departure of QF8.

Alternatively you can purchase online a 30 day membership to Admirals Club Lounges but you have to sign up & be a member of the AAdvantage frequent flyer program first. It can be used if travelling on a QF flight.
