Hi all I've book a ticket with Cathay Pacific from BNE to HK in Premium Economy was wondering if you could purchase lounge access into Qantas lounge ?
Im currently a QFF Bronze member.

Thanks in advanced

The short answer is no, you'd need OW status. The longer answer is probably going to bring up the limited facilities in the BNE lounge - honestly unless you're feeling naked without lounge access the BNE QF lounges aren't worth it. I would best describe them as quaint.

You can always try to link up with another AFF'r on the day.

The lounge may be "Quaint". But it beats sitting in the main terminal IMHO.

It is I, Leclerc !

Hey Joshua thanks for info... The only reason I'm after access is Im going to Big Day Out in the Gold Coast on the 20th Jan..Flight leaves 21st at 00:50.. was hoping to jump into a shower before boarding...lol

Fair enough on the showers. As GPH says, best bet is to hope another AFFer is on CX156.

I can't lie, everytime in BNE intl I'm straight to the lounge - I think my argument was more it wouldn't be worth paying $$ for, just avoid the airport as long as possible.

There are free showers in the terminal so if it comes to it, maybe give them a go. Cheap to buy a towel and dispose it before departure.

Not the end of the world without lounge access. Personally I think the bar near the gates is quite nice and actually has better atmosphere than the lounge most of the time.

That's what I would've pointed out. Use the airport facilities, you don't need a lounge... all you do need is a towel though, and I'm sure you'll pick one up cheaply somewhere.

Just on this topic - would the lounge be open for CX156? I understand CX use the QF lounge, but I didn't think there were any Qantas flights that late (or early, if you prefer to look at it that way).

Yes the BNE Qantas lounge stays open until the CX flight has left. Also the late night MH flight uses the Qantas lounge so some J passengers from that flight will also be in the lounge at about that time.
