Hi,

I suspect I know the answer, but can I access the Delta Skylounge with my platinum charge card and a non-Delta (non-Sky Team) ticket same day? The language is a little ambiguous. I will be flying Qantas.

Thanks

Where are you departing from? If LAX, there's no DL lounge in TBIT, so it's a moot point.

There is a tunnel from Terminal 6 though to TBIT, but the hike from T5 to TBIT is not a short one (around 10-15 minutes from lounge to TBIT shopping area depending on your walking speed). The DL lounge isn't that great at LAX anyway.

After a quick look, you won't have access anyway.

Hi,

No, it's in HNL heading to MEL. The language is a little confusing, I have a same day ticket (with Qantas), and I don't know if Amex is the "affiliated lounge agreement".

Thanks

To access a DL lounge with the Amex Platinum Charge Card, your next flight must be on DL. HNL is a DL operated lounge. "affiliated lounge agreements" are where DL does not operate a lounge but uses a third party lounge, operated by either an airline or alternate lounge company such as Emperor Lounge in AKL.

So in this case, unless you were flying out of HNL on DL, you would not have access. (unless DL count an arriving flight as 'same day' and you're flying in to HNL on DL).

As I expected, thanks for confirming.
