Just wondering if anyone would happen to know whether access to the Air New Zealand Lounge would be permitted for an Etihad Guest Gold member when flying Virgin Australia Short Haul International.

I understand that Velocity Gold members are allowed access, but can't find a definitive answer for Etihad Guest members.

Thanks in advance.

I dont believe so. I think Etihad gold only receive access to EY or VA operated lounges when flying VA.

Since Etihad Guest isn't in Star Alliance and doesn't have an equity relationship with ANZ I don't believe you'd have access.

What about say in SYD, would a EY gold flying VA international in Y have access to EY lounge?

Its a no go.
Was flying cairns to wellington via sydney on a VA ticket. Lounge access in cairns was fine with etihad gold. In Sydney, realised that my flight was on a ANZ code-share. No access to EY lounge due to not etihad flight, no access to ANZ lounge as it wasnt a EY or ANZ ticket. Couldnt get access on the return trip in wellington for ANZ lounge.
