AA vs BA Fees & Taxes ?

Planning a OW 280K RTW in J and can recall a post indicating that BA charges heavy fuel surcharges. For a paid J ticket from JFK to LHR, BA lists the taxes/fees as $438 but for the same trip on an AA flight I could only find the total fare i.e. no "taxes & fees" figure was itemised separately. Can anyone tell me approx. what AA's taxes/fees would be, or even if they would be substantially less than what BA charges for the same trip?
