Hi All

Open and shut question. Booked an award flight on AA with QF miles from DFW to YVR. Don't know if I'm going to need the first checked bag or not and seeing that there wasn't the option, I haven't bothered at the the time of booking. The question is - how much to add the first 23kg bag at the airport and is there a cut off - eg can I add it the night before for US$25 when I get to the scales.

I'm having the weekend in DFW before heading out, how long is the boarding pass good for to get the free bags from an international flight. I assume 24 hours+ is pushing it. Different PNRs.

No status worth mentioning to get it for free.

Thanks

Maybe if you can get your AA PNR, you can look it up with the following link:

Find a Reservation

You may be able to add luggage there if necessary.

(FWIW, I have a revenue economy booking that has recognised my WP status and advises I can have up to 2 x 23kg bags at no charge.

So it seems that the kiosk at check in will happily accept my credit card. No mention on whether it costs more, but I'm going to assume its USD25, which last night didn't seem that much, but by the time I get there and the rate that the AUD is dropping, may be AUD50.
