A380 Back in Sydney

SYD QAN staff were let loose all over the plane today, and real pics are already starting to hit the Net!

Local (CBR) news this morning said she would fly from SYD to CBR and back, 'arriving' around 2pm, so I had a reminder in Outlook set up, but at around 1:30 I looked up from my corner desk on Lvl 6 (I have a nice view of the northerly flight path) to see her nice & low, flying north then banking around Mt Majura. She did 2 turns of this, then I guess it was back to SYD.

A bit of reminiscing at being taken to the airport to see the brand new Jumbo Jet, and thoughts of internal promises "One day I'll fly in that!"

I made the others in my office crowd by the window, then I showed them pictures from Airliners.net - now they REALLY think I'm weird

I'm certain I heard a radio news reporter tonight stating, among other interesting facts, the rather startling revelation that the A380 flew "at 85% the speed of light" :shock:

Bit disappointing they couldn't have gone that extra 15%. Would have made very short work of those pesky OZ-UK flights!!
