Haven't seen much discussion or indeed pics.

I understand the routing was TLS-JNB-SYD (then SYD-AKL-SCL-TLS).

Do we think Airbus are trying to send a message choosing nonstop JNB-SYD and AKL-SCL??

I'll open the floor for discussion!

Pictures in the plane spotters thread.

There is a message there somewhere, I'm sure.

We took quite a few pics yesterday. The missed approach was pretty cool to see right in front of us.

Yeah. put up a couple (pretty average pics from my phone) in the spotting thread. Missed approach was pretty cool to see.

If we'd known it was going to be there would have taken a proper camera.

Does anyone else find it interesting the routing JNB-SYD and AKL-SCL?

Not really, unless they think CASA are easily influenced.

This plane just seems rather 'blah' to me. No 'mega' factor like the A380 and just no style factor like the 787 with its huge windows, swept wing tips and awesome engine cowling. Plus there is something awkward about the coughpit window arrangement when looking head on... Just can't get excited about it! Is it just me?

It's what's inside that counts.
