737 J product

MH are runnning a special on HKG-KUL-MLE (Maldives) flights that come in at about $1,000 Business return which I'm considering as a status run to keep Platinum.

What's the 737 J product like? It's 2 3-4 hour flights in a row with a 1-2 hour connection at KUL, so shouldn't be too bad but would appreciate some more insight. Unsurprisingly the options to leave HKG 20 minutes later on the 772 flight see the price shoot up massively.

I find the MH 737 business class product OK.

I do SIN-BKK-KUL and return before and after my trip to Thailand. I usually choose 1F which has adequate leg room for me but rows 2, 3 and 4 will have more leg room. The seats are like domestic business class in Australia. Service is OK. And as usual I can sleep OK.

I am not sure about IFE on these aircraft as the time goes quick. I just read the Strait Times. If you have your own IFE then you shouldnt have a problem.
