Hi everyone. I made 2 separate bookings on QR using Velocity points. The first one is ATH-DOH followed by DOH-MEL with a 4hr transit in DOH. I realise now I'm not protected if ATH-DOH is delayed and should have booked DOH-MEL the following day to allow time for delays. Lesson learnt. I have alerts setup incase seats drop for the following day.
The reason I made separate points bookings was that I was hoping to cancel and rebook DOH-MEL if a J seat became available (alerts setup). ATH-DOH is only 4h 20m flight time and I can easily do that in Y.
My question is, if my current bookings stand, can QR tag my bags in ATH all the way to MEL even though they're on separate bookings? Or will I need to clear immigration in DOH, collect my bags, and bag drop for DOH-MEL?
Thanks for the help.
